Overview

The Activity Center provides centralized access and can be used to get an easy overview of when the latest AD and Entra ID synchronization, Discarding, and Re-extraction have been performed, as well as the option to run one or more of the activities immediately.

• For each activity, with the exception of Re-extraction, it will either show the latest date of the activity's execution, or "….has been initiated…." if it is running.

Access the Activity Center by navigating to the Administration Area and under the Activity Center section, select Activity Center

Options in the Activity Center

• Active Directory

  • Force AD synchronization - performs an immediate update, in addition to the regular synchronization of user accounts from AD to DocuNote (see Active Directory Syncronization Service)

• Discarding

  • Start discarding - Forces discarding to the discard bin on all objects that meet the criteria for discarding (see Discarding)
    • This process can take quite some time! - which is why it normally runs during the night to Saturday, so as not to burden the system during working hours.

• Entra ID

  • Force Entra ID synchronization - performs an immediate update, in addition to the regular synchronization (see Entra ID - User synchronization)

  • If the Entra ID-module hasn’t been activated, the Activity Center will display "Latest Entra ID synchronization: Not in use" from DocuNote version 26.1 onwards. </aside>

• Re-extract

  • Force Re-extraction - Enables you to do a force data re-extraction from documents accepting two parameters:
    • Document extension (the document extension identifier to be re-extracted)
    • Date from (the date after which published documents should be re-extracted)
