Overview
The External Publish module makes it easy to publish the documents from DocuNote to external document management portal servers (like IntraNote Infobase). This manual will help you to set up integration with document management portal server.

Please note:
- You must have one or more of the module roles "External Publish Module Administrator", "Access to Full Publish View" and "Access to Full Publish Execution" to work with external publishing. (See Module roles - Roles & Permissions)
- To publish documents, a user must have the organizational role "Publish Documents" (See Organizational roles - Roles & Permissions)

Adding sites to External Publish Sites library
To add a destination to the External Publish Sites library, follow these steps:

Click DocuNote tab, and then click System Setup*.*

In the left navigation panel, click External Publish sites*.*

The 'External Publish sites' dialog box appears. Click Add to create a new destination.

Provide the new destination with a Name*.*

In the Type box, select the type of server available from the list (IntraNote Portal Server; Ftp Server; SharePoint Online Server).

Specify the URL of the target site.

Provide user credentials which are registered on the external site.

⚠️ Please note:
- If the login and password fields are not filled in, the system will try to search the credential information stored in DocuNote Active Directory database for the current user.
- To make connection to IntraNote Workspace: You sometimes need to add a backslash in front of the login user name, like this; \username

Optionally, in the Publish as name box, you can determine the name of the document when it is published.

💡 Tip:
- You may pass the metadata value into Publish as name box, by right-clicking inside the box and selecting the available metadata from the context menu.

- Click Set view permissions to configure who will see this destination. Follow the instructions in the Permissions Wizard.
