Overview
E-mail folders help you organize your e-mails effectively inside the DocuNote client. You can create any levels of subfolders which can be sorted in your preferred order. Unlike document folders, the e-mail folders can contain only .msg files (including the attachments).
Creating e-mail folders and uploading e-mails
To create a new e-mail folder in DocuNote:
- Navigate to the case, document folder or existing e-mail folder, and do one of the following:
- On the ribbon bar, select New folder*,* and then select New e-mail folder from the drop-down menu;
- Using the navigation tree in the left pane, right-click the business unit, and select Create*>*New e-mail folder from the context menu;
- When inside the case, document folder or e-mail folder, right-click in the explorer window, and select Create*>*New e-mail folder from the context menu.

💡 Tips:
- The default hotkey for Create e-mail folder action is Alt+Shift+E.
- You can also create the e-mail folder directly via Office Add-in when archiving e-mails in MS Outlook.

Alternatively, you can upload the .msg file that was saved locally on your PC:
- Navigate to your e-mail folder, and do one of the following:
- On the ribbon bar, expand New document and select Upload e-mail;
- Using navigation tree in the left pane, right-click the business unit, and select Create*>*Upload e-mail from the context menu;
- When inside the e-mail folder, right-click in the explorer window, and select Create*>*Upload e-mail from the context menu.
