Overview
A document status describes the current document state, e.g. draft, reviewed, approved. DocuNote provides a number of default document statuses which you can assign to the document. In addition to default statuses, you can create your own custom statuses. For details, see Documents and Cases - Document- and case statuses (Administrator guide).
Assign/change the status to the document
… through the Properties dialog box

Select the document and click Properties on the ribbon bar. The Properties form will appear.

Using Status drop-down box, select the task available in the list.

Tip:
- By clicking the icon to the right of the dropdown menu, the Status history window is displayed, where changes can be viewed and exported.

- The Document status metafield should be present on corresponding document metaform.

Save your changes.
…after editing the document

After you finish your document editing, either by “check-in” or by closing via the “x”, one of the below dialog boxes appears.

Select the status next to the Status drop-down box.

Click OK.

- Which dialog box is displayed and whether it is possible to change the document status may depend on settings. See setting (637) and (658) here Documents settings

… using context menu

Right-click the document.

Point to Change status on the context menu and select the status available from the list.

💡 Tips:
- You can assign status for document shortcuts as well.
- You can change status for multiple documents in one go by using CTRL or SHIFT keys and then invoking the Change status option from the context menu. This works only in the Explorer panel.

- If there are any conflicts due to status property rules, the dialog box will be opened automatically to help you resolve them.
