Overview

Document flows are simple document-based workflows that streamline and automate a wide variety of business processes — from collecting reviews, or approvals, to tracking the current status of a routine procedure. DocuNote document flows are designed to save you time and effort, and to bring consistency and efficiency to tasks that you perform on a regular basis.

There are some predefined document flows (Review flow; Approval flow) for your convenience. However, you can create custom flows to meet specific business needs in your company. For details, see Documents and Cases - Document flow types


Starting document flow

To start a document flow:

  1. Right-click the document, point to Start document flow menu and select the flow you are interested in.

  1. Fill out a flow initiation form:

  1. Click Start.

Once the flow has been started, the system assigns tasks to participants that can be processed further on the Tasks page. The system will also sent e-mail notifications with task instructions and links to the document to be processed.
