All DocuNote users in the Address book are divided into the following groups:
- AD groups - groups that are synchronized from the Active Directory.
- Entra ID groups - groups that are synchronized from Azure Entra ID (see Azure Entra ID and Microsoft Identity)
- Local groups - groups which are created by Address book administrator.

⚠️ Please note:
- Local groups and their subgroups are displayed in the navigation tree on the root level.
- To work with local groups, you will need the "Manage local groups" module role

You can create subgroups for any of Local groups:

Expand Local groups folder and select Create local group from the context menu.

Do one of the following:
- Right-click the group and select Create local group from the context menu;
- Click Create local group on the ribbon bar.

Specify necessary parameters in the creation form and Save your changes.
