Introduction

Currency management in DocuNote allows you to handle different currencies and their exchange rates in the system. This module is particularly useful for organizations that operate internationally. You can set up reference currency, add new currencies, manage exchange rates, and automate currency conversions. The system supports both manual entry of rates and integration with external data sources via "Stored Procedures". With this tool, you can easily keep track of international transactions and ensure accurate currency calculations throughout the system.


Setting up permissions

Setting up permissions

  1. Click DocuNote tab, and then click System Setup*.*

  2. In the left navigation panel switch to Roles and Permissions*.*

  3. Click Roles and edit the Module Role*.*

  4. Check if the following permissions are enabled under Currency section.

    Permission Definition
    Currency management Provides access to "Currency Rate Administration" module.
  5. Save your changes, if any.


Adding new currency

To add a new currency:

  1. On the Backstage panel, click Currency Manager.

  2. Click Add currency.

  3. Specify the currency code. You might want to use ISO 4217 Currency Codes. Note, the code you specify must be unique within the system.

  4. Provide the name for the currency.
