Each contact list in the address book has a handy alphabetical index which allows users to quickly find the contact they want. The index is built by extracting first letter from the contact's display name. If there are widely used prefixes preceding the contact names (like Mr, Mrs, A/S, Dr, etc,.), you can tell the system to ignore these prefixes by adding them to contact prefix exclusion library.

Adding contact prefix exclusions

To add contact prefix exclusions:

1. Click DocuNote tab, and then click System Setup*.*
2. Switch to the Address Book tab.
3. In the left navigation panel, click Contact prefix exclusions*.*

1. The Contact prefix exclusions dialog box appear. Click the Add.
   • Here you also have the options to Edit or Delete a prefix exclusion, or update the list.

1. Type in new contact prefix exclusion and click Save.
