The Map Support module allows users to search for cases within a defined geographic area. It is only possible to search for cases with a location, so it is important to locate the cases that can later be searched.

To search for cases within a defined geographic area, follow these steps:

1. Open a search form. For example, the Search tab or the Quick Search From Here dialog box, which is available via the CTRL+ALT+S shortcut.

2. Click on Add search criteria:

   

3. Select the field Localization:

   

4. Expand the search criteria using the small icon on the right, and then click on the button with the small globe:

   

5. Click on one of the two buttons on the left side of the map. The top one allows you to draw a polygon, and the bottom one allows you to draw a rectangle:

   

6. Draw the area to be searched within:

   

7. Click Select.

8. Optionally add more search criteria and then click Search.
