Overview

Using Metaform runtime rules, it is possible to automatically set values and modify properties of fields on metaforms of Cases, Documents, Companies, and Persons.

Metaform runtime rules are rules designed by DocuNote administrator. The rules are executed when user changes field values on property form.

Entering a specific value into the field will trigger a runtime rule, initiating a change of value or property (visibility or whether the field is mandatory) for one or more other fields.

Finding your settings

Click DocuNote to access Backstage panel and choose Metaform runtime rules:

Working with metaform runtime rules

In the Metaform runtime rules window, you can view, add, edit, or remove runtime rules.

The list shows existing runtime rules with the following details:

• Object type - Case, Document, Person, or Company
• Name Name for the particular runtime rule
• Created - Date and time of the metaform runtime rule creation
• Created by Full name of the DocuNote user who created the rule
• Enabled Whether or not the rule is enabled
