Overview

It is possible to set up permissions for viewing and editing metaform fields.

<aside> ⚠️ Please note:

• Metaform field permissions functionality is not supported in DocuNote Web Edition and DocuNote Mobile. </aside>

The permissions can be set up for the following metaform fields:

• Custom fields
• Number field for cases
• Conversation
• Discarding code
• Identity
• CVR/Personal number

When any permission is set on a field, only users with Edit field permission are able to modify the field, while only users with View field permission are able to view the field.

<aside> ⚠️ Please note:

• View field permission is only applicable to a field on metaform.
• The user can still retrieve the fields' value though API, column views, merge, mirror fields, etc. in case it is configured by administrator. </aside>

Setting up metaform field permissions

To set up metaform field permissions, follow the steps below:

1. Click DocuNote to access Backastage panel

2. Click Metaforms designer

   

1. In the Forms tree, select the necessary group of the item you want to edit (f.e. Cases)

2. Locate the item for which you want to edit metaform field permissions and click Properties on the Ribbon bar
