Overview

The General settings allow you to control the overall behavior of the DocuNote client.


Finding your settings

To access General settings, follow these steps:

  1. Click the DocuNote tab, and then click Settings*.*
  2. In the left navigation panel under Settings, click General settings*.*
  3. Please check the following settings:
Setting Description
(22) Template number series Applies predefined unique series number to templates. For details, see ‣.
(37) Number of documents and cases on start page Sets the limit for number of documents and cases displayed on the Start page.
(39) Language Sets the language environment in the DocuNote client for all users who have 'Use system settings' value set in 'Language' setting in User preferences or on 'Account' tab of user properties.
(46) Show status bar Activates the status bar at the bottom of the Explorer panel.
(45) Encrypted license key Let you update the license key. For details, see ‣.
(93) Open DNO link in the same instance of DocuNote client Controls whether DNO shortcuts will force the new DocuNote client to start or open/locate the item in the existing client.
(125) Enable free text for date inputs Allows to enter free text in the date picker fields. The settings affects all date picker fields including metaform fields, fields in filters and fields in search control.
(126) Week numbering rule Defines the rule for determining the first week of the year:
• FirstDay - Indicates that the first week of the year starts on the first day of the year and ends before the following designated first day of the week.
• FirstFullWeek - Indicates that the first week of the year begins on the first occurrence of the designated first day of the week on or after the first day of the year.
• FirstFourDayWeek - Indicates that the first week of the year is the first week with four or more days before the designated first day of the week.
(167) Show confirmation message on DocuNote exit If Yes, DocuNote client will ask the user to confirm exit if the user closes the client.
(170) Active Directory setup has priority over HD Manager Sets the priority configuration for Home Directory. The Home Directory can be configured either via Active Directory or HD Manager.
If the setting is set to No, the value specified in HD manager (global setting) will be used.
(573) Contract management If Yes, the word "Contract" is used instead of "Case" in all labels.
(430) Personal number service URL The URL to run CPR integration service. Used to synchronize the external CPR database with DocuNote data.
Once the changes are saved, the contacts can be searched by their CPR record in the following fields:
• Contact Picker;
• Parties;
• Identity.

For your archive to comply with the mentioned limitation, DocuNote allows you to costumize the below settings. Depending on your needs and the file naming practices used in your organization, it is possible to configure the best way to shorten the names of files and folders in the ZIP so it can be succesfully extracted in Windows. | | (598) Maximum tree level | Sets the maximum allowed tree level of the archived folders hierarchy (Maximum value 10 levels). | | (593) Maximum documents in the archive | Sets the maximum allowed number of the documents in the archive (Maximum value 1,000,000,000). | | (594) Maximum total documents size (bytes) | Sets the maximum total documents size in bytes (Maximum value 10737418240 bytes/10GB). | | (595) Maximum path length | Sets the maximum path length in symbols (Default value 160). | | (596) Maximum extension size | Sets the maximum size of the file extensions in symbols (Maximum value 30). | | (597) Minimum file name size | Sets the minimum size of the file name in symbols (Maximum value 10). |
