Overview

Versioning enables you to store, track, and restore documents as they are changed. To view previous versions of the document, expand Versions menu on the ribbon bar. Alternatively, you can right-click the document and select Versions from the context menu.

The Versions menu contains several main options for managing a document as Version history, Upload new version and Convert to draft/publish.

Version history

The Version histrory gives you the detailed overview of all previous versions of your documents.

Here you can see when and by whom yourd documents were updated.

The version marked in red means that the version of the document is physically not available, thus, you cannot operate with this version.

When selecting a version you have the following options:

Control Description
Edit comment Allows you to edit the comment to the document versions created by you.
Show document Opens the document in read-only mode.
Publish document/Convert to draft Converts the document version either to "publish" or the "draft" one.
Compare Compares the selected versions of the document. The comparison is processed using built-in Word tracking option.
***TIP:
-** From DocuNote Version 6.8 comparison can be done between two Word doc’s even though latest version is another format.*
Roll back Reverts back to a previous (selected) version of the document.
*TIP:

The icon next to the version means that this is a draft version of the document.
