All documents have associated metadata - also called the document's "Properties". These are used to describe the document and can, among other things, be used as information merged into the document, depending on the document's type.
You can change a document's properties (metadata) at any time in the following ways:
Select the document and choose "Properties" in the ribbon bar,
Right-click and select "Properties" in the context menu,
Select the document and press "ctrl+E"
