Sometimes, to make your business process more flexible, you need to disable merging data for certain documents. For example, you might like to support merging data only for documents of specific extension or of specific type.

Please check below different ways how you can prevent documents from merging data into them.

Disabling merge on document extension

Disabling merging data on document extension level ensures that the documents with specific extensions will not support merge.

To disable merge on document extension:

1. Click the DocuNote tab, and then click System Setup*.*
2. Click the Document extensions icon on the ribbon bar.

1. Select the extension of your choice, and click Edit.

1. Next to Disable merge, specify the check box.
2. Click Save.
