Overview

Best Bets are used to mark specific items as more relevant for a particular word included in search, so that they show up more prominently in search results. Attaching your documents or other items to Best Bets makes your search easier and faster.

When a user types a Best Bet in the search box, its associated item is shown with the highest relevance in search results. These items are identified with the distinctive Best Bets stars icons (both in Detailed and List views).

Setting permissions

Before you can start creating Best Bets, please check if appropriate permissions are set up:

1. Click DocuNote tab, and then click System Setup.
2. In the left navigation panel switch to Roles and Permissions.
3. Click Roles and edit the Module Role*.*
4. Check if the Manage Best Bets list permission is enabled under Search section.
5. Click the Save to apply your changes.
