Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication is a procedure of logging in to the Webportal page. It is based on a requirement to provide user credentials and a pin code which is sent by SMS.


Configuring settings for two-factor authentication

To enable two-factor authentication, several settings in DocuNote client should be configured properly. Follow the steps described below.

  1. Click DocuNote to access Backstage panel and select Settings.

  2. Expand Web settings folder and select Security.

  3. From the Form login authentication drop-down list, select Two factors.

  4. In the SMS URL edit box, specify the URL address for sending SMS.

  5. In the Pin length edit box, select the appropriate number.

  6. From the Pin content drop-down list, select the appropriate type.

  7. Click Save.

Parameter Description
Form login authentication Defines the type of authentication to Webportal.
SMS URL Specifies the service provider URL for sending SMS.
Pin length Defines the number of pin code symbols. The minimum quantity of symbols is 2. The maximum is 10.
Pin content Defines the type of a pin code. Available types are numbers, letters and mixed type.
