Overview

DocuNote Android mobile app supports biometric authentication (fingerprint /Touch ID) on devices with Android OS version 6.0 and above.

To use this functionality, make sure your device has a fingerprint scanner.

Fingerprint authentication can be enabled in DocuNote Mobile after the first successful login using your password.


Setting up fingerprint on your Android device

To use fingerprint authentication for logging in to DocuNote Mobile you need to make sure your device has a fingerprint scanner and that it is enabled in settings.

To enable the fingerprint sensor on your device, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Go to Biometrics & Security

  3. Select Fingerprint

  4. Click Fingerprints and follow the instructions on the device to add fingerprints and enable biometric authentication.


Setting up fingerprint login in DocuNote Mobile App

When you have set up fingerprint authentication on your device, go to DocuNote Mobile app and enter your credentials (Account name, password, and server URL).

When logged in successfully for the first time, you will see a dialog to confirm whether or not you want to use fingerprint authentication:
