Overview
Agenda templates are MS Word documents that are used to automatically generate PDF versions of agendas and minutes when the agenda meeting status changes.
The templates contain merge fields as well as the formatting/styles that can automatically build formal printouts of your PDF documents.
Default templates
By default, the system has predefined templates for the following items:
- Agenda Holds the overall design of what the agenda includes.
- The default template includes a front page with a committee and meeting properties, the TOC, and the agenda items.
- This template also supports the footer and the header in the document.
- Agenda item - Holds the specific design of an agenda item.
- The design is used to insert each agenda item into the Agenda template.
- This template does not support the footer and the header.
- Decision format - Holds the specific design of a decision of an agenda item.
- The design is used to insert each agenda item according to the Agenda item template into the Agenda template.
- This template does not support the footer and the header.
- Agenda item input - A blank default template that is used when the user enters the decision.
- The purpose for this template is to keep the same formatting/typography when inserting into other templates for generating agenda. -No merge fields are used here.
- Outbox Holds the specific design of how a decision should be inserted into the content of the agenda item when moved to the Outbox.
- This template does not support the footer and the header.

⚠️ Please note:
- Always check the formatting in the template if unexpected formatting occurs.
- The Agenda module is based on MS Word systems, which means that Font formatting done during the process, is overwritten by Font formatting added to the Agenda templates, when the Agenda is assembled.
In other words, a text formatted in ex. an Agenda Item, will be overruled by the formatting of the template used, where this Agenda Item text is merged into.
- Thus - To keep the formatting of the final agenda document consistent, use consistent formatting across all of your agenda templates.
- When in the 'meeting mode', pasting formatted text into the decisions editor can alter the formatting of your document in a way that is unpredictable.
- It is recommended that you paste the text in decision editor without formatting or simply type it in.
