The Address book settings let you customize the look and feel of DocuNote address book.

Finding your settings

  1. Click DocuNote to access Backstage panel and then click Settings*.*
  2. In the left navigation panel under Settings, click Address book*.*
  3. Please check the following settings:

Common address book settings
(88) Number of items per page Defines the amount of contacts and contact shortcuts to be displayed per page.
(101) Remove exclusion entries when sorting Allows you to activate/deactivate exclusion entries when sorting in contact lists. For details, see ‣
(128) Google Maps URL Allows activating Google Maps service by entering URL of specific format. For details, see ‣
(161) Related cases and documents in AB view Allows you to set the default custom column view for Related cases panel in the Address book.
(332) Contact name pattern Allows you to control how the name of the contact is displayed in the Contact Picker fields. The following references are supported:

• [FullName] • [Account] • [Company] • [DisplayName] • [Country]

Tip: Right-clicking within the field provides all supported references in the context menu.

Please note: The custom property Contact name pattern, if defined on the specific Contact Picker field will overrule this global setting. | | (395) Personal Number validation | Defines whether user is allowed to proceed when filling in Personal number that is not valid.

If the setting is set to Comply, system won't accept invalid Personal numbers. If the setting is set to Warning, system will accept invalid Personal numbers while giving a user warning about this.

Please note: If the invalid personal number indicated by the user is also defined in the Personal number validation exception field of hidden settings, then Comply setting will serve as Warning - accepting the invalid Personal number while notifying the user. | | (532) Address book column view | Defines which column overview is used in the address book | | (345) Display Welcome letter button (Setting removed from DocuNote 6.9 - From where the button is always visible) | Makes it possible to use “Send Invitation Link” to new Web / Portal users.

Setting options:

• Yes (Send invitation link option is visable and active) • No (Send invitation link option is disabled and not visable) | | (722) Contact name pattern in picker search | Allows you to control how the name of the contact is displayed in the Contact Picker fields during search.

The following references are supported:

• DISPLAYNAME • CONTACTPOSITION • CITY • ZIPCODE • FIELDNAME

Please note: Sorting of the entries during the search in picker fields will always be performed alphabetically | | (735) DAWA search service path | To insert the path from where your addresses for direct search should be provided | | (736) Enable DAWA search | Allows you to enable direct search in address field. | | (741) Automatically cleanup disabled users in days | This feature allows you to set up the cleanup of DocuNote users at specified periods after the user account has been disabled. Default is “Never” Possible periods: 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, 360 The setting is handled by the “DocuNote Generic Processing” service, running every night. Please note - Only data about user gets deleted. | | Settings for parties related to cases | | | (48) Show related cases |
Show none - none of related cases will be shown; • All parties - the cases that are linked through all Contact picker and Parties metafields will be shown; • [Custom name] - only the cases that are linked through this specific metafield will be shown.

Note: DocuNote CVR service | | Settings for company links | | | (67) Direction for company links | When attaching companies to each other, you can decide how the system should visually display this relation.

One-way - the related shortcut is displayed only under processed company. • Both ways - the related shortcuts are displayed under both companies that are linked to each other. | | Settings for contact position | | | (72) Allow free text for contact position |
Yes - Activates text box with a list box attached. Users can either type or select their choice from predefined positions. • No - Activates only drop-down box. Users can only select their choice from predefined positions. | | Settings for permissions | | | (90) Use permission type | If you have both Module and Address book role permissions given to user or user group, you can decide what permissions should be active and what should be not:

Module role permission - Activates the permissions defined under Module role. • Address book role permission - Activates the permissions defined under Address book role.
